Whippoorwill Farm is an unforgettable wedding venue located in the horse and wine country nestled in the Appalachian mountain foothills.

The farm’s eighty acres of rolling foothills is surrounded by forests, combining the pastoral elegance and seclusion of the mountains for your big day. The spacious Georgian style farmhouse is perfect for wedding preparations, rehearsal celebrations and lodging for the wedding party. The great barn is constructed from hardwoods harvested from the farm. The 25 ft high ceilings provide a gorgeous backdrop that elevate any event. The 2600 sq ft great barn is equipped with a full kitchen, serving bar, prep area and 3 bathrooms. The great barn opens to the graceful two acre pond and gazebo below. There are numerous knolls on the farm for field weddings and wedding photography that overlook the farm’s valleys.

Whippoorwill farm is happy to provide couples with space for bridal showers, ceremonies, elopements, engagement parties, receptions and rehearsal dinners. Couples are welcome to use their own caterers and equipment rental vendors.

Tucked away off the beaten track, Whippoorwill Farm has the privacy of a mountain setting with easy access to highways and close proximity to multiple regional cities. The farm’s central location between Charlotte, Asheville, Greenville and Spartanburg requires only an hour drive for your guests. Your guests can walk next door to the local winery or tour the other dozen local wineries and visit the Tryon Equestrian Center located within a 5 minute drive.

The Great Barn

    The great barn is equipped with 3 bathrooms, including one handicap accessible restroom. 2 bathrooms are equipped with showers.

  • Full Kitchen with Serving Bar

    The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, stove, 3 compartment sink and prep tables. A convenient serving bar that borders the kitchen and the barn’s assembly area makes an easy switch from serving food to serving drinks.

  • Includes round tables and chairs

    Your reservation also includes the use of round tables and chairs for your guests.

  • Ample Parking and Storage

    The barn has a large parking area directly in front of it, with plenty of overflow parking at other locations on the farm. The Barn has a covered area on the side for additional events or extra storage if needed.

  • Rustic hardwood construction

    The Great Barn is constructed in 2017 entirely from hardwoods harvested off our farm and built by the owners!

The Farmhouse

    With six bedrooms and four bathrooms, the farmhouse is big enough for the entire wedding party!

    The kitchen includes pots and pans for cooking, dishes and placesettings.

    A huge gazebo in the backyard is ideal for use as a bandstand or outdoor gatherings.

    The back porch is a covered area that’s perfect for late night gatherings.

    The farmhouse was built by the owners from hardwoods harvested on the farm.
